Welcome back to another Behind the Scenes update — our regular look at what’s new, what’s coming, and what we’re quietly cooking up. It’s been a minute since our July update and a LOT has happened, so let’s dive in!
New Releases
Our Brand New Website!
If things look a little extra fancy around here, that’s because they are! We’ve launched our brand new, fully redesigned website. It’s easier to browse, easier to shop, and packed with all the cute we could fit. Take a look around and let us know what you think!
Indexasaurus is Out of Beta!
After months of testing and a ton of amazing feedback from our beta testers, Indexasaurus is officially out of beta and ready for everyone! Our reptile husbandry management software keeps your animal registry, breeding projects, and egg and clutch tracking all in one place. Sign up from the link above or any other Indexasaurus link on the Gecko Fancy site and get a free one month trial. And as always, every gecko purchased from Gecko Fancy comes with a free 3 month Indexasaurus Breeder plan!
Frugivite is Finally Here!
The wait is over! Frugivite, our very own nutritionally complete frugivorous gecko diet, is officially out in the world in two flavors. We spent a long time getting the formula just right, with a big focus on keeping ash low, protein bumped, less added sugars, and calcium significantly higher than many diets on the market. We can’t wait to hear what your geckos think!
Meet the Supplement Squad
Frugivite brought some friends! Our new supplement lineup is here to round out your gecko’s menu:
- Calcivite — calcium plus D3 for dusting feeder insects
- Probiovite — prebiotic and probiotic digestive support
- Bugalicious — black soldier fly larvae protein powder or silkworm protein powder for an extra protein boost
Restocks
We’ve been hard at work restocking your favorites. Back in stock now:

Shows and Events
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at NARBC Tinley! We loved meeting so many of you and talking geckos all weekend. Keep an eye on our Events & Shows page to see where we’re headed next.
Breeding Projects
New Arrivals to the Collection
We’re so excited to welcome two brand new trios to the Gecko Fancy family! We’ve added a trio of captive bred Levis Levis Knobtails (Nephrurus levis levis) and a trio of captive bred Skunk Geckos. We can’t wait to share more about them as they settle in.
Current Projects
As the season winds down, we’re watching this year’s babies grow and starting to see what our pairings produced. Pink Lemonade is still moving along, and we’re excited about where it’s headed.
In Development
Gecko Science Printable Worksheets
We’re working on a brand new set of printable worksheets for our Gecko Science program! They’re a fun way for little learners to explore the world of geckos, and we can’t wait to get them into classrooms and homes.
Tear Off Care Sheets
Physical tear off care sheets are on the way! These handy pads will be available for purchase right here on our site and at our booth at shows. Perfect for new keepers, education, gifting, or keeping the care logs close by your enclosures.
A Whole New Tote Bag Lineup
We’ve been drawing up a storm! Expect a tote bag pattern refresh for 2027, alongside some new, never done before Gecko Fancy patterns and collections!
Wholesale is Open
Want Gecko Fancy products on your shelves? Our wholesale program is now open to retailers, and we especially love partnering with small and family owned shops. Reach out and let’s chat!
New Care Guides on the Blog
The Gecko Gazette got two brand new care guides this month! Check out our Gargoyle Gecko Care Guide and our Chahoua Care Guide for everything you need to help those bumpy, chunky tailed babies thrive.
Thanks for reading our October Behind the Scenes update. We’ll be back next month with more.
